Description

The listing, Cassia Alata Tree Seeds 40+ FAST GROWER~free ship, low Gin has ended.

40+ Cassia Alata Tree seeds, fast grower. Start indoors now to get a head start for spring. Show stopper, and grows well even in harsh sonoran desert. This tree has many medicinal uses. I have personally used the leaves of this tree to heal inflammation, and it took away swelling of a kittys paw in just one afternoon. The paw was at least 4-5x its normal size, poor thing. She was so grateful that she kept giving kisses that day. So cute. Also I use it to bath with, I just put leaves in nylon, and use epsom salt soak with it for rheumatoid arthritis. Here's a bit more on medicinal uses: Traditional medicinal uses: Leaves or sap are used to treat fungal infections such as ringworm. They contain a fungicide, chrysophanic acid. Because of its anti-fungal properties, it is a common ingredient in soaps, shampoos and lotions in the Philippines. The effectiveness of this plant against skin diseases is confirmed by modern scientific studies.

Other chemicals contained in the plant includes saponin which acts as a laxative and expels intestinal parasites. In Africa, the boiled leaves are used to treat high-blood pressure. In South America, besides skin diseases, it is also used to treat a wide range of ailments from stomach problems, fever, asthma to snake bite and venereal diseases (syphilis, gonorrhoea). Besides all this it will flower and go to seed within about 9 months.

So here's the deal, I am listing a low gin on this, and if you win with gin, I will include 20+ each of crystal blue violas, and those gorgeous dark blue pansy's.Plus a bonus 4 bags total.
Shipping is free USA, If you like this auction please check out other similar ones I have listed. Now I dont normally put tracking on shipping seeds, for one I can get away with sending extra seeds bc from home I dont have to weigh what I sent, and two bc it saves me the trip to p.o., which delays a quick send by a day or two, and it would cost u the fee, which would be 2.00 to paypal.

Ty, you could alway try the pot method and bring indoors for winter. I know it likes the sun, however. But if you had an indoor place for this plant to get about 4 ft tall, which was what it got for me in first year, with flowers and pods. Then you still might have a way to enjoy it. Its really fascinating how the plant prays at night by closing its leaves, lovely even without the blooms. Thanks for stopping by :)

Candle Bush (Senna alata) is native to the Amazon Rainforest and can be found in Peru, Brazil, French Guiana, Guyana, Suriname, Venezuela and Colombia. It has been cultivated around the world as an ornamental plant and has naturalized in many tropical regions including tropical Africa, tropical Asia, Australia, Mexico, the Caribbean, Melanesia, Polynesia, and the USA (Alabama, California, Florida, Hawaii, Louisiana, Mississippi, Oklahoma and Texas plus Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands). In Texas, it can be found naturalized in The following counties: Harris, Jeff Davis, Travis. An evergreen shrub or small tree in frost free locations, it is often grown as an annual in cooler climates. When it doesn't get frozen back, Senna alata can grow up to 30 ft (10 m) tall and 15 ft (3 m) wide. Butterflies love the blooms.

also there is a list of what states they have been known to grow in. Short list here is AZ, CA, FL, SC, NC, GA, TX IL, PR, to name a few, still tryin to find what zone it hardy to, but read about those outside who grow it as an annual, which is easy to do because it flowers and seeds within about 9months, so if you start indoors in winter, and plant come spring, you can repeat that process every year if it doesnt survive the frost, it would still make for a nice annual. Hope this helps some :)
