This expansion opens up a whole new way of playing somewhat similar to dorm life in University. You can move your sims into apartment buildings wheres there are other NPC (non playable characters) living. Interact with them on a day to day basis. This also introduces Witches and Warlocks and all the good stuff that goes along with the magical parts of them If you have pets installed it also enables the ability for Witches to have Spectral cats. Without pets expansion the ability to purchase a lap dog is still available. You can now have roommates which could be good or bad. It's all in how you play the game.
