Description

The listing, HUGE Assorted Lot of Beads and Findings has ended.

Since this is my 1st auction I wanted to make it fantastic so I decided that I will put together a large assortment of beads and findings that as a jewelry designer myself I would want to receive. Hundreds of pieces including seed beads, e beads, bugle beads, sm, med and lg beads. Assorted colours, shapes and sizes including foil and glass art beads. Pendants, earring hooks, chandelier earrings, barrel, toggle, spring ring and lobster clasps. Memory wire and 45 yards of beading wire. Crimp beads, head and eye pins, spacers and jump rings. This will probably be the only time I will auction off such a lg assortment so take advantage while you can. Free shipping Canada and US.

Once there is a bid on my auction I will put the package together and take pictures of the beads and findings that I will be sending but for now I just put up some pics of the ones I had out today to work with. I'm sure I have over 1000 different beads in assorted shapes, styles, colours and sizes so there will certainly be a good variety.

This is a SUPER lot of beads! But can I make a suggestion? Ask Listia to take this listing down, and then take a BUNCH more photos so people can really see what they are bidding on. You also might want to break it up into several lots ... for example, all the seed beads in one lot. In my experience, beaders are looking for specific types, sizes or colors of beads. Someone who wants seed beads may not be interested in all of the other stuff.

If you check my listings, the photos are what really sell my beads. I have a photo in each listing of closeups of the beads, a few of the beads against a ruler, and I have a complete description of how many, how large, etc. To sell items like this, people really need to see what they are getting. I use a decent camera (Canon A-series), with the macro setting I can get execellent photos. Turn the flash off and use a good desk lamp, with a full-spectrum or daylight color bulb, so the colors are true. Take the photos on a plain white background. Then edit the photos (crop, adjust color/contrast) with simple photo software. I use HP Photosmart, which is free to download.

Hope that helps. To contact Listia and ask them to remove your listing, use the "contact/help" link below, then click on "submit a request." Listia will usually help you out. Since you have a bid, you can't delete the auction on your own. I think you could get thousands of credits if you take the time to organize this into several listings and provide really good photos.

I hope I haven't driven you crazy with all of the advice ... and I hope it helps you be more successful on Listia. I LOVE to see beaders on Listia, because this is SUCH a great venue for swapping/recycling unwanted craft materials, and beads are TOO expensive to throw away!

Also, when you relist, send me an e-mail with the link/s to your auction/s. You also might want to e-mail my bead bidders to be sure they see your listings. One more thing ... when you list, add the sub-category "beading" under Arts & Crafts.

Thanks for all the advice and info. This will be the one and only time that I offer such a big lot of beads and findings. It will probably cost quite a bit to ship it because it is so heavy but hopefully people will bid well on it.
