The listing, Vintage/Antique Wooden Butter Dish has ended.
I picked up this little wood butter dish at an antique store, but I'm not positive it is an antique. It is definitely vintage. It looks old and has some knicks here and there but is in over all good condition. Shipping is a little higher due to the weight but I will be glad to pay part of shipping. Your shipping cost will only be $3.00. I'm glad to combine shipping so check out my other auctions.
Questions & Comments
I am fanning you , please return the favor! I remember the old butter dishes my grandma had from the 40'. or 50's, they were glass. I love stuff like this, I think this one is older than my grandma's.
I'm not sure what it/s dated but I picked it up at a little antique shop in some small little town that I forget the name of. I know it's vintabe but can't guarantee it's an antique. There are no markings to indicated a time period. Good luck everyone I hope you all enjoy my auctions. That's what I like about Listia, it's small and personable...
Do you mean on the lid? I'm not sure what you are asking but see if this helps. Right above the banner that says butter on the lid shows some kind of branch with a lot of leaves that go around the knob of the lids and the stems curl down under the banner. Did that help? Sorry I'm kind of a ditz sometimes.=)
The next 2 days i will not be on listia as often so be patient if i don't get to your questions as quickly. i promise you are not forgotten. thanks for everyones patience.=)=)=)
This also maybe from cooks corner. It is a reproduction, but it is still pretty. I think you can find them at arkapeligo (my spelling is not very good) also.
you seem to know more about it than I do. I just know I picked it up at a little antique shop and I can't remember the name of the town. And it looks at least vintage, like I said before I'm not saying it is an antique because I don't know. I just want every one to enjoy my auctions......ginny
That is what I said, I dont know if it is or not, but it sure is pretty. I thought there was a inscription under the butter word, maybe not, but I was hoping!
