Actually, to Jamesdavis79025648, Star Wars (Episode IV) canon suggests that the alleged R5 unit is actually an older model of the R2 unit. The same model, as seen in Episode IV, it is mentioned by Luke Skywalker during the trade with the Jawas that, "This R2 unit has a bad motivator, look!" immediately following the malfunction of said droid. However, per according to the Expanded Universe, Wookiepedia, and other sources, the unit is in fact a R5. It's a back-and-forth unit that technically could go either way. Original canon suggests it's an older R2 unit, while more modern edits suggest it's a separate R5 unit. Potato puhtahto, y'know?
I suppose if one were to get knit-picky, this specific R5(2) unit is the very same "R5-D4" unit seen in Episode IV (the droid with the malfunction).
Anyway... Onto more related matters... xD
A comment above mentions a GIN for all three? Is this auction not for all three droid figures? It's not mentioned in the description at all that this is only for one specific droid of choice by the winner... I'm just a little confused is all; clarification would be greatly appreciated.
clearly it says, choose one, at the end . been right there from the very beginning of my description. the last 2 words, from the start of my auction. thank you for commenting.
Hello, I just though I would let you know that non of these droids are from the 70's/80's. These were released in 1996. The R5-D4 is missing the removable 3rd leg that goes in the middle. You can verify at : http://www.rebelscum.com/CH-VINT.asp
