is it a double sided blade or for rightys or lefties plz let me know

Not sure what you mean exactly, but this knife is symetrical. The lock release is is centered at the back bridge of the handle, the sharpened edge is a bi-cut and honed not just one side of the blade, and the sharpened edge folds into the handle pocket. When it is closed there is no sharpened edge exposed. Hope that helps.

is the handle mostly plastic?

The bone colored engraved portion is probably plastic, but I don't know for sure. The knife has a stainless frame with solid brass ends and the Eagle inset in the bone like area is also metal, brass or plated. Hope that helps !
