It shouldn't. But it really depends on how rough you are with your hands and jewelry. I'm really tough on my hands and very active outdoors. I fish, garden, landscape, hunt, all those things so my personal jewelry gets put through the ringer something like this wouldn't suit.

My life style and hobbies but if you're not as tough it should hold up fine. The rings I have listed at the moment are brand new and don't have any scuffs or scratches to start out with so if they can just be maintained that way they should last a long while.

Sterling doesn't turn green on your skin though if that's what you're asking. So unless these are scratched up a whole lot they shouldn't do that.
