No that's not a dumb question at all. This is just a regular auction where you would need to bid like you would on ebay. I think the set amount thing your talking about is a GIN (get it now). I don't have that on this auction but if I did you could choose to bid like regular or choose to bid a set amount of points that I would have posted in order to just "get it now". Hope that helps
