Hi, personally? If i hide a comment, it either means i was rambling too much in response (i do it a lot...) or i didn't want the comment up for some reason.

For ex: Maybe someone leaving a message saying "hi, love your tiddlybopper thingamagiggy... I have one of these listed in BLUE". 0_o

If i feel like someone is detracting from my listing, i'll hide the comment.

Sometimes people don't even know they do it, so i don't take it personal.

Btw, i've rarely hidden a comment and then blocked a bidder (which would indicate malice on mine and their part for some reason), without reason.

Generally though, i talk too much. Sometimes i read over what i said and cringe from my talking sooooo much. Then i'll hide the question so that i can hide my response. Or i'll hide my response to a valid question and answer it in an update.
