Description

The listing, Black Eyed Susan has ended.

25 seeds of Rudbeckia fulgida (Black Eyed Susan)

This species of coneflower is a Missouri native which occurs in both dry and moist soils in open woods, glades and thickets.

An upright, rhizomatous, clump-forming, free-blooming coneflower which typically grows to 3' tall, often forming colonies in the wild. Features daisy-like flowers (to 2.5" across) with yellow rays and brownish-purple center disks. Prolific bloom production over a long mid-summer to fall bloom period with Oblong to lanceolate, medium green foliage. Good cut flower.

This species is infrequently sold by nurseries because of the excellent varieties and cultivars available thereunder (e.g., see 'Goldsturm'--I780 and 'Viette's Little Suzy'--P520).

$1 shipping in the USA. Add a Buck for Delivery Confirmation. Will combine shipping with $1 added for each additional item.

I don't know the drout tolerance of these flowers... I expect that the drout tolerance of this flower is similar to that of others... totally dependant on how well they are tended and watered. They do well here in Oklahoma with hot dry summers. I hope this answer helps your decision.
