The listing, DTV (Disney Music Television) Rock, Rhythm, & Blues Beta Tape has ended.
This, my friends, is what used to be called a Betamax, or just Beta, tape. Short history lesson: Beta and VHS came out about the same time. Beta was the better format, with higher quality pictures. VHS, however, was a bit less expensive and held just a little more data. Therefore, VHS became the preferred format.
This disc is full of what used to be called music videos. You all remember music videos, those things that used to be shown on MTV before it became the most useless channel in television history? These particular videos, though, were self-made by the Disney folks, by matching classic animation to popular songs of the day. They called the experiment DTV, and it was really a lot of fun to watch.
The videos are:
1. Hall & Oates - Kiss On My LIst
2. Jimmy Cliff - Wonderful World, Beautiful People
3. Richard Thompson - Two Left Feet
4. Jackson 5 - Dancing Machine
5. Gladys Knight & The Pips - Friendship Train
6. Doobie Brothers - It Keeps You Runnin'
7. Supremes - Stop! In The Name Of Love
8. Marvin Gaye & Tammi Terrell - Ain't No Mountain High Enough
9. Stevie Wonder - Signed, Sealed, And Delivered
10. Jimmy Cliff - You Can Get It If You Really Want It
11. Gladys Knight & The Pips - I Heard It Through The Grapevine
12. Hall & Oates - Private Eyes
13. Burning Sensations - Belly Of The Whale
PLEASE be careful when reading this auction! I'm relisting it because the person who won it the first time around didn't read closely enough to realize it was a BETA tape, not VHS! Thanks. :)
