25 - Chia seeds

I have sprouted these myself! :)

These will sprout quickly if you put them on a damp paper towel, in a clear plastic container with a lid , like you get veggies and fruit in in the grocery store.

Then you can transplant them when they get
about 2 or 3 inches high. Once they mature,
you collect the seeds and use some to grow
more and some to sprout and eat the sprouts! :)

Chia Seed Facts :

•Chia Seeds are THE BEST source of Omega-3 & Omega-6 essential fatty acids!

•These seeds are perfect for diabetics & people watching or trying to lose weight.

•Chia Seeds are also very beneficial to the heart and extremely high in fiber, calcium, complete protein, slowly processed carbohydrates and loaded with vitamins & minerals and antioxidants!

•The health benefits of Omega-3 fatty acids are becoming widely known.

•What is not as well known is that the chia seed is THE BEST source of Omega-3.

•CHIA SEED IS BETTER THAN FISH OIL & FLAX SEED!

•Chia seed is high in protein and high in calcium. 5 times the calcium of milk, 631 mg per 100 grams of seed.

So, do you eat the seeds or the plant leaf? How does it taste? Which way can I prepare them for food?

The seeds I am offering are for planting.
So, you grow these seeds and glean the
seeds from them, save some for planting
more and eat some. :) You can also "sprout"
some and eat the sprouts. You can put the
seeds in salads, soups, cdereal, any kind of
food basically ... I mix them in my oatmeal in
the morning, along with blueberries, a really
healthy breakfast! :) I haven't tasted them
other in food, but, Dr. Oz says they taste "nutty". :)
