The NETGEAR WN311T PCI is a wireless adapter by RangeMax NEXT. This adapter data rate of up to 300 Mbps, enabling faster data transfers, and saving your time. This versatile adapter features Wi-Fi protected access (WPA2-PSK, WPA-PSK) and Wired Equivalent Privacy (WEP), and 64/128- bit encryption for IEEE 802.11b and IEEE 802.11g, all of which come together to make sure that your data transmission is exceptionally safe. It has a PCI interface that ensures compatibility with most computers and laptops. Due to its excellent design, it has rock-solid connectivity, even at long ranges.

This adapter ensures optimum performance and maximum coverage with preset internal antennas, expanding its applicability. It operates at a frequency band of 2.4 GHz. Also it can interoperate with other Marvell TopDog platform compliant products at speeds of up to 300Mbps, and complies with the draft 802.11n standard, while being backward compatible with 11b/g standards. Does it pull in open wireless frequencies? Right now we have a public wi-fi but my device doesnt get a strong signal,..im wondering if this has a longer range and would be able to pull it in more?

I used it on the second floor of my house with the router broadcasting on the first floor with 802.11n it Worked great
