The NETGEAR WN311T PCI is a wireless adapter by RangeMax NEXT. This adapter data rate of up to 300 Mbps, enabling faster data transfers, and saving your time. This versatile adapter features Wi-Fi protected access (WPA2-PSK, WPA-PSK) and Wired Equivalent Privacy (WEP), and 64/128- bit encryption for IEEE 802.11b and IEEE 802.11g, all of which come together to make sure that your data transmission is exceptionally safe. It has a PCI interface that ensures compatibility with most computers and laptops. Due to its excellent design, it has rock-solid connectivity, even at long ranges.

Does it pull in open wireless frequencies? Right now we have a public wi-fi but my device doesnt get a strong signal,..im wondering if this has a longer range and would be able to pull it in more?

I used it on the second floor of my house with the router broadcasting on the first floor with 802.11n it Worked great
