It has Stainless Steel Back and beautiful band is too. It is Goodness Gracious Gorgeogus!! The Hands have the greenish color that means you can see them in dark (never tried it tho).. It is a very Nice watch! I wanted to keep it, but I don't want such a beauty in the drawer.. The band is not strectch~ it has a "fold in snap closure. I think what you mean is: when the band is clsp shut and floded down?? that is 4' . The color is a pattern :like stainless steel coloralternate shiny and dull links th, the pattern is like {...kinda a little dip on each link. It is quite stunning and nice. you have gotten me on this discription~I hope I have told you OK...(*.*) Thanks alot

Hi, When the band is closed~the inside circle is 8"~ that's where the wrist goes. sounds strange but that's how I can discribe the large band. Hope it helps, Blessings (*.*)
