fanned and watching. to use this in my handycam, I would need an adapter right? like a duo or duo pro? Do you have any adapter (not reader) for it?

sorry, jangarrick75, I honestly don't know. As mentioned, I bought this on listia just weeks ago thinking it would be compatable with my phone & caera. I contacted the seller when I realized my mistake & asked her what device she used it with so no one would make the same mistake I did. Seller only remembered it was with AT&T and was kind enough to supply the description information she looked up for me on the web. So no, neither do I have an adapter, I can give you her listia screen name if you win so you can check to see if she might have one Good luck

If I am correct in all my research looking for these older M2 "memory sticks", today we usually see the micro SD used for storage in tablets and cell phones, and an SD card adapter to transfer data to a computer. The micro SD card you probably thought this was when you got it usually don't come in less than 1 or 2 GB, this memory stick card is correct in listing the older MB (megabytes) which computers 10 years ago used to hard drives and memory listed in MB and today they are coming in GB (1000 MB = 1 GB or gigabyte).

I hope this helps others thinking the same thing you did that this is slightly DIFFERENT than the "standard" micro SD or SD cards we all regularly hear about today, my daughter's tablet has a 4 GB micro SD card in it for transfer to her laptop, my own cell phone now also has a 4 GB micro SD card in it as well.

Hopefully others won't think this 256 MB memory stick card is the same as the micro SD cards most tablets and cell phones today currently use.

in your description it says it comes with a memory stick pro duo adapter. That is what I would need for this "memory stick" (That's what I believe this is supposed to be called) which is compatible with my Sony Handycam CCD-TRV318. With the adapter unit, that funny looking "m" on it is the same symbol on my palm-held camcorder. The memory stick is used for "easy dubbing" because the camcorder would take this card, inserted in the pro duo adapter, and it looks like a gray "stick", longer than the traditional SD cards which are more square. Some micro SD cards actually slide into their SD adapters (like the old camcorder tapes that could be played right in your VHS VCR when inserted into it's VHS adapter tape/cartridge). I will attempt to win this since I just replaced my stolen handycam I bought in 2003, this M symbol is the same on it's manual. If I win, I would greatly appreciate the Listian's user name that you got it from, as he/she may have the adapter I will otherwise need to buy to use it. Thank you for that offer. Good luck to all that may know more about these than I, but I DO KNOW for sure I CAN use it if I win it :)

Just to clarify...I may have misled some in this auction. Sorry, my bad. As JanGarrick75 pointed out, the description Does say that it comes with a memory stick pro adapter. My apologies... it does not. The memory card shown in the picture with its case is all I received when I won it.so as I don't have an adapter for it I cannot offer one. To any bidders that I have misled, including you JanGarrick75, I apologize. If winner wishes to withdraw their bid, simply request a refund with Listia &I'll be happy to refund your credits. Again I apologize, I only included description I was provided so that no one would repeat my mistake bidding 1090 credits for a memory card they can't use
