The 1st quartz watch was not introduced until 1969. They became common in the 1970s and '80s. This isn't an antique.

even if its in the 70 it is still old I would say most people put there in the trash I know when I was growing up that's what my granddad done with his when they broke and that's what I do with mine to

Just google "when did they start making quartz watches". 1970 IS old, but not antique.

This watchs is a 1973 ya that is the right date had one just it about 10 yrs ago had not problem with it at all
