This is an iHome case and Bluetooth keyboard for iPad. I got this item, used it once and didn't use it again. I threw away the box and receipt and since this item wasn't cheap my loss is your gain! After trying out the keyboard I decided that I wasn't comfortable using it. It was very simple to get the iPad and keyboard to recognize each other and sync up. Does it work with the first I pad ?

If the first iPad has Bluetooth I don't see why it shouldn't work with it. I don't think the tablet even has to be iPad, just as long as it has Bluetooth connect-ability. Thanks for stopping by!
