Shake weight is never used! I still have the box it was shipped in.I tried it one time but never had the time to use it or have it cause of my children so its been in its box since I got it.2.5 pounds on each side n yes it does work.I have the papers showing the correct way to use it.I will do free shipping in the US but thats why I started the bid higher cause it is heavy.thank you n hope someone can get great use out of it
