What are the buttons made of?

I'm not exactly sure, but they're definitely not plastic. They seem to be some type of metal, but don't stick to a magnet.

Beautiful buttons. They look like they have an interesting way of mounting. Would it be at all possible to see the backs of them? I use buttons a lot but some types work better then others for the types of projects I do. Also curious about size. How do they compare in size to dimes or quarters?

Thanks! I'd have put up a photo of the back, but someone placed a bid already. As to the size, they're slightly bigger than a dime, but at first glance, they're about the same size. Hope this helps!
