The listing, VINTAGE--CORO--MUSTARD SEED BROOCH/PIN--FREE SHIP! has ended.

Mustard seed jewelry started during the Victorian Era.
It was revived in the late 40's-50's.
It hasn't left since ;)

Coro created this piece, encasing the mustard seed in a lucite globe. This piece originally came with a tag that read, "This tiny genuine mustard seed will be a beacon to guide you always- through Faith". While the tag is long gone, the brooch remains.

The Lucite encased seed dangles from a gold tone bow. The back of the bow is inscribed with the Coro trademark.
Clasp is secure with a rollover lock.

The brooch is 1 5/8" x 1 1/4".
There are scratches on the lucite, one in particular stands
out to me, on the back. It's larger than the others and again, it faces the back. I noticed it with the loupe.
Normal wear & tear for an item almost 70 years old.

I have two mustard seeds...one passed down from my great grandmother, to my grandmother, to my Mother, then to me...i treasure it with all my heart...another one is a coin that someone gave me..when i know someone is sick (from cancer, to a cold) I have them hold onto it until they are healed...and yes...ive gotten back 5 times now, and yes...2 of them were sick with cancer !!!! No lie !

can it be taken off the bow and put on a chain, I have been looking for a mustard seed for a long time my mother had one on a chain and I always seen it around her neck she gave it to me and I never took it off the chain broke and I lost it been looking for one since then I got to have this I pray I can win this auction I will be out of town from the 5th until the 12th gonna try to get to a computer to keep up with it
