Well, i did some research on how i should. And i believe if i wrap a wet paper towel around the base of the piece i break off and place it in a plastic bag wrap a cloth around that add a piece of card board (so it doesn't break anymore) and place in a big envelope. You should get it in good condition. just place it into a pot with some dirt be sure not to over water.
