It's the standard 1 inch base for most light fixtures in America. I list the details so you can check your fixture to make sure you have the same base. There are some fixtures that take different bases.

It can fit in some fans. There is a base size about 1.5 inches which is the larger base for some lamps. That is why I ask that you double check your fixture. With new technologies there are on average 12 different sizes. I'm sure you've seen the wall of bulbs at Home Depot...lol. If you can't find E26 on the fixture, you can measure across the top of the opening.

I cant see too well-so would you think this fits most all regular lights in the ceiling of every home?

This was purchased for our outdoor light fixtures. We changed all of our exterior lights and the new lights take the small small base bulbs or candlelabra. I thought someone on here could use it since it does not attract bugs and it's energy efficient.
