Its a Headset/Mic for PS3 and Xbox made by Afterglow, they ate only about 2 months old and work perfectly fine. on the headset there's a piece on them the has volume, muting of the Mic and the mode of which you want the headset to be in, (to me it makes the sound more crisp and boomy switches from sterio to monotone.. but the Headset cost $59.99 at gamestop :p but I don't need it anymore so if you have any more questions feel free to ask...! :D

wired but it's weird. .. for ps3 just plug it into the system and boom for Xbox just plug in green cable

I have the same headphones and think they are just as good as turtle beach headsets. You can hear enemy footsteps in call of duty and battlefield as if they were right next to you. Definitely worth the points spent! As far as sound quality goes...... AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!

I think all headphones break not just afterglow. We have a array of name brand mics and headphones that have broken. I would say its my son but its happened to both the 22 and 12 yr olds over time with regular not rough use.
