Yes, the chain comes with it. It is one and a half inches across. I know it's hard to see details because of the flash of the camera, but the swirl engraving around the topaz is REALLY beautiful. Picture doesn't do it justice. The back is just as pretty with more swirl engraving. Even the setting that the topaz is in is elaborate. Thanks for asking about it.

I put up a 3rd picture of it. It shows it a little better, but like I said the flash of the camera is distorting it. I even stood back and used the zoom. Avon did a good job with the goldtone. It really shines!!!

Try taking a photo in bright sunlight without the flash. :-)
