The listing, Sterling Silver and Dark Sapphire Ring Sz 8 has ended.

This ring features a lovely organic design built around the dark sapphire color set on a delicate sterling silver band.

There is a gorgeous feeling to the asymmetry of this particular piece, and, as in the 3rd photo, is noticeable enough to garner compliments, yet not so large as to be obtrusive. I have very slender fingers, so when modeling this size 8 ring, it is obviously too large; however on someone with more proportionate hands, it would be considerably more attractive.

Sapphires are lab created or imitation; "diamonds" are CZ or crystal. Band is, as you can see in the 4th photo, sterling silver.

Bids and wins are final. Make sure you ask questions before bidding. I am not an expert on jewelry, nor have I had this professionally examined for value. Everything I've stated is to the best and extent of my technical knowledge of this ring.

Size 8, as stated in heading and description. The right jeweler or silversmith could adjust the band up or down a size though since it is sterling.

It is a dark blue. Unfortunately, it is just a regular size 8 and doesn't feel any smaller than that. I'm sorry. You're right; it is really beautiful. Thank you.

Stones are genuine sapphire. They are genuine and each one is had set in Thailand. I have had this one myself it is from a top quality jeweler.....look up Avon Sapphire cocktail Ring. Some are not marked Avon and may only have a jewelers mark only along with 925. Winner getting an amazing ring. Those sapphires have a nice blue glint to them!

I do not know where it was originally purchased, but it is not marked Avon like other Avon rings I have owned.

Avon does not marking their line of genuine gemstone rings from their Thailand jeweler. They only mark their own line of costume jewelry.

That's good to know. I bet not many people are aware of that, assuming Avon sells only costume jewelry to begin with. They now deal finer, authentic pieces, which is a surprise to some. Having looked into it a bit more, it is my understanding that in such cases, you can't necessarily tell from looking at an authentic piece where it was purchased, unless you bought it yourself or are familiar with the individual piece already, as you are. There is no difference in quality.

Avons jewelry got much better after they bought out Tiffany's for a while back in the 80's. It was pretty much a bail out plan because they sold the company back as per their agreement. Not very many people know that even happened as it was not widely publisized, but it did lend a hand in quality jewelry from Avon. I was a District Supervisor for Avon back then...but I dont recall ever seeing a ring this gorgeous there! This is a beauty and hopefully I will get all my credits in time to properly bid what this beauty is worth.
