*******After doing some research, closer inspection, etc. I have come to the conclusion that this jewelry is most likely made of lucite. 2 big clues were: 1) I read that Bakelite doesn't come in white, 2) mold lines, Bakelite wasn't molded it was machined. Some of these have light mold lines on one end or the other but no where on the outside surfaces. Please read on below....
In the 1950s, as modernism took hold, Lucite dominated costume jewelry and was used to make brightly colored all-plastic rings, bracelets, and bangles, as well as beads and ornaments on earrings and necklaces. Companies such as Trifari and Coro used it in much of their jewelry.
