The listing, Fostoria Depression Glass Tea Cup and Saucer has ended.
Vintage Fostoria Mayfair rose pink tea cup and saucer, made from 1930 to 1938. They measure 4 1/2 inches have a ground bottom, showing the extra workmanship that went into this elegant glassware of the depression era.
Fostoria named this pattern for the smartest residential section of London in the early part of the 20th century...and Mayfair was the fashionable new dinnerware line for 1930. The square shape has a distinct deco look, which was all the vogue at this time.
Fostoria named their pink Rose, and the tea cup and saucer in this Rose Mayfair are very hard to find. They are in good condition, with no chips or cracks. They do show some light usage, as is to be expected after 80 year's of service.
