This is a 1962 Topps baseball card for St Louis Cardinals catcher CARL SAWATSKI.

Sawatski saw action in 11 MLB seasons, including being a member of the Milwaukee Braves 1957 World Series championship team. He played his last 4 seasons with the Cardinals where he served as both a catcher and a frequent pinch-hitter, averaging a home run per 22 at bats.
After his retirement, Carl served as president of the Texas League (minor leagues) from 1976 through his death in 1991.
