Yes, smoke free. They are translucent little tiny plastic beads molded together. (I saw some large Christmas outside light ups made with this exact same compound.)Look so pretty lit up with the led changing colors.

New & yes, smoke free home. They are plastic. soft and transparent so you can see the light change color. The 3rd pic shows it in my hand for size.
