What is a bad ESN? The phone works. It was connected to Sprint. We simply decided not to continue to have cell service, so we are not keeping the phone.
Yes, there is a contract that will not be paid off until then. Which is why I stated that it works with WiFi for apps and internet. Of course, if someone wants to use it for more than just that, they would be able to after February.
As soon as we get our tax refund it will be. It could before then, but that is the definite plan. My husband has been unemployed since June, so we have had to cut back a great deal. Giving up our cell phones etc just was part of the process. The other phone did not have a contract, so it can be connected to service immediately. This one we will have to have a lump sum because of the high termination fee.
It works. Right now the WiFi can be used to run apps and get on the internet. Anyone who wants phone service can connect it to a Sprint plan, but not until after February. Which is why I stated that this item should be bid on based on the WiFi abilities and the fact that it cannot be added to a plan until February.
My husband doesn't think that you can download any new ones until February when the early termination fee will be paid off. He said that he used the WiFi on it to surf the internet, get on Facebook, email etc. But he didn't try to add apps at all.
I will try to do that when I am back home with the phone. This listing is listed for the phone with the WIFI working on the phone. It is also knowing that the phone's early termination fee will not be paid until February. So, anyone who wins the phone should assume that they cannot connect it to service until then. Tat is why it says to base bidding on the WiFi capabilities until February.
Hi, I really want this phone for my son! Being able to only use it through wi-fi is just fine until Feb. I was wondering though, could I have it flashed to At&T either now or in feb? That's who we use. I know a lot of phone companies will if the phone is capable. That would be perfect if we can. Even if we can't though, only using it through wi-fi will be fine.
As far as I know, it can only be used with Sprint. But, you can always call your carrier and tell them what kind of phone it is and they will tell you if they can put service on it.
...yeah, I guess that would be the obvious path to take and the best way to find out for a fact. They would know better than anybody.... ha, I feel really smart right now. Thank you though
No, it is fine. If it was my cricket phone you were asking about, I could answer that question LOL. This phone was my husband's, so I do not know much about it. :)
Lol, yeah I know most no contract phones definitely can. I just really wasn't sure about contract phones. I haven't even called them yet, ha, I'm going to try and win it anyway though. Like I said, it's just for my son and he's not very old so it will get used most likely get used just for things you can do over wi-fi anyway. Thank you so much!
