Stunning Tanzanite studs retail $90! They are set in 925 sterling silver. Each earring is approximately .62 carats which is over 1/2 carat & a total carat weight of 1.25.
They are a beautiful purple/blue and it varies between a lovely violet in direct sunlight
to brilliant purple indoor and dependent on lighting. When deep purple the stones occasionally flash red, though to save my life I couldn't capture it on film!! Btw, when Tanzanite throws red flashes I've been told that it means it's good quality Tanzanite. Also the darker the color the better the stone. These aren't real dark but a beautiful color just the same. The third pic. is from the auction I got them from & put it here as it shows the entire earrings. The last two pics are real close up of the right & left earring in that order.
These are new, only worn once around the house for about 5 hours. I do so love Tanzanite but I since I was given diamond earrings, they are all I wear now. It's such a waste for these lovely stones to be sitting in my jewelry box. One note...their setting & post is sterling silver and the jeweler managed somehow, to get a stamp on them, when I cleaned them with Tarnex prior to photos, I realized that the backs are not pure sterling silver, perhaps they're plated because some of it wore away in little spots but not all. I'll take a picture of them if you'd like.
They will come in this lovely gift box although the name on box is not where they came from. I just thought they deserved a nice box to travel in. :)
