You are bidding on a Vextra Portable CD Player that I bought to listen to my cd's for my online classes only to find out that those cd's were actually dvd's. So the only thing I have used this potable cd player for was to open it and try to listen to one of my school dvd's (yes, I realize that was dumb of me) on it. It comes with everything you see in the pictures. The cd player, the headphones, the tape thing that you plug into the tape player in a car so you can listen to cds in a car that doesn't have a cd player in it, and a lighter plug so you can listen to the portable cd player the same way as the tape plug only through the lighter outlet. Yes, I realize most people have cd players in their cars these days, but some people don't, like myself. But I listen to the radio anyway. lol. And, as always, FREE SHIPPING so go ahead and fan me, I know you want to :)

It doesn't play MP3's. It's just a portable cd player and 2 different ways you can play your cd's in the car from the player. I do have a cd player that isn't portable and it can play MP3's. Would you like me to list it. It's brand new and I don't have an MP3 player. it's just been sitting in my baby boy's room.

Yes, it takes batteries for using it with headphones. It doesn't have to be hooked up to a car. That's a Great question! Thank you!
