Worn once, very minor black mark on right boot. Seem narrow to me for being sized at 8 (I do have wide feet though!)

Yes, but I also usually opt for an 8.5 or 9. Some shoes in size 8 fit fine, these were just too snug. I wore them for about 2 hours (with thin socks too) and they were just too tight for me.
