Night of the Living Dead entered the public domain because the original theatrical distributor, the Walter Reade Organization, neglected to place a copyright indication on the prints. In 1968, United States copyright law required a proper notice for a work to maintain a copyright.[119] Image Ten displayed such a notice on the title frames of the film beneath the original title, Night of the Flesh Eaters. The distributor removed the statement when it changed the title.

I use to deal with copyrights ,
so are you buying the prints from someone else ?
I use to sell little rascals public domain films before bill bought up most of the library. But I had the 16mm theater prints ( 15 in all ) it was the only way I was able to put them on tape. So do you have a copy of these prints? or just a download ?

no doubt copyright laws can be tricky, i put in alot of effort to see that all my auctions are legit and do not infringe on any local or international copyright laws including "morality" clauses observed by some countries

no, please don't miss understand I was not saying anything bad about you , I just that I learned a bit about copyrights doing some bad stuff at one time
