The hardest part about bidding and auctioning on Listia is the shipping. A lot of people won't bid high if their is shipping. Some people will bid crazy if the shipping is free. I have spent a small fortune on offering free shipping.

Hey gas to the post office isn't cheap either! :) I know because I do free shipping auctions all of the time and live 15 minutes away from the damn thing. Now I'm probably going to always charge for shipping because of that reason. People like their items fast and it sucks driving out there every other night.
