this is for one DSi R4i R4 card with a 2GB micro sd.

you can download and put roms of any ds, gba, gbc, gb and so on... on this and play them. u can also put movies and music

lol, you can see in my pic i am young , im only 33, but my 2 boys are 12 &13 so they have aged me technolofically speaking, so i just gave up, lets just say they and ur age if ur still uo on the newest tech are like my new "spell" check. all the new stuff is too much, i love iphone and tablets but stuff like this. phew... over my head til u just taught me. i just want the old first nintendo and sega back.

25k i get the r4 golds for ds-3ds for 12$ O-o these i normally can get for around 5-10$ i usually get these fro friends ( personally prefer my vita and psp )

This R4i is a little older. It works on DSi v1.4.3 and previous. The r4i-ndsill.com domain isn't even being used or updated anymore so the 1.4.4 and 1.4.5 kernel are not available to update this specific card. Also there are new 2014 editions of the R4i which are needed for the 1.4.5 kernel. So if you've got a DS with 1.4.3 or less you're good to go with this cart.

my son has a dsi, but does he need internet access in order to benefit from this card? Or is this card acting as his "limited access" internet so long as this is the only card he is using and he is using it alone without wifi network internet access?

5) Lets my son and his friend use their dsi's together (i think he calls it linking up) can my son, having the card in his dsi, share the benefits and usage of the card with his friend or even more than one friend if they are linked up either by cords? (if thats possible like when i had the first gameboy) or if they link through wifi?

6) are there any benefits to having this item if my son has no internet access on the regular?

I have no idea what u mean.. this is a rom card. its not a phone card or anything like that. u simply download game roms on a computer.. put the roms on the sd put the sd in the r4 card then put that in ur dsi and u can play the roms on ur dsi
