The 4 women discover untapped strength about themselves when they finally let go of what divides them. {From the back}: In the blink if an eye, happily married Rebecca (Perkins) becomes a widow or, as she puts it "the 'W' word." She's not alone for long. Her eccentric friend Sylvie (Goldberg), neurotic younger sister Lucy (Paltrow) & controlling ex-stepmother Alberta move in w/h a lot of baggage - both emotional & literal! But when Alberta hires a sexy house painter (rocker Bon Jovi in his screen debut) to raise Rebecca's spirits. He is able to inspire unforeseen passion - and unexpected compassion within each of the women, as they learn to let down their defenses & let go of their innermost fears... Run time is 1hr44mins.
