The listing, 50 groszy coin, Poland, 1973 (note the crownless eagle!) has ended.
An authentic relic of history, a working man's half-a-złoty coin (1 zł = 100 groszy) from the socialist Poland (Polska Rzeczpospolita Ludowa, Poland's People's Republic), 1973.
Back in the day, this would buy the daily paper at a street "Ruch" kiosk, vending various low-price triffles, toiletries, cigarretes, and mostly unnecessary objects, a one-person enclosed post usually staffed by a <s>sultry</s> surly but grudgingly polite middle-aged woman working for the state.
The Polish saying from those times goes: "czy się stoi, czy się leży, dwa tysiące się należy" (one way or the other, be it working, be it loafing, you got 2 grand comin').
Happy bidding.
