FREE: xbox 360 disc drive

ok what is this??? im confused about something.. maybe u can help!?!! . i know nothing about the system Xbox. i got my daughter a 4 gb xbox 360 kinect --- than we go to play it today, Christmas gift, with her new GTA game and it wont let us,. tells us we need more space, 8 gb to play the game and the dammg system is only 4 gb, so im trying to figure out how to i get more space on this thing,.. any advice from anyone is appreciated!!!!

shelli1017 get on amazon, you can get a 320 gig hard drive for your 360 slim for $50 with shipping, it's not actual microsoft, it's madcats, but it's what I am using in my slim and it works great. the side vent on the left side I believe will slide off towards the back and you have a bay there for your hard drive. This auction is for a 360 phat DVD drive, won't help you or fit your slim.

so what i have is a slim?? i asked the guy at game stop today when i took my kinect in to exchange it (it was not working,) if i had the old 4gb or new 4gb, bc i keep hearin people say about the old one and the new one, and the slim.... he said i have the newest version of the 4gb, bc i guess my kinect doesnt need a power supply... idk. what is the slim.. whats that mean. lol im so game system dumb its ridiculous... if i wasnt i would have never bought this 4gb system, i would have just got the 250gb one... no one told me you needed a hard drive or anything when i bought it....

oh another thing,.. someone at game stop said i should be able to use a regular usb flash drive with a usb plug and put it into the front of my xbox in its usb port, and as long as its over the storage needed to play the game, i can use that until i get a hard drive... is that true?? like i wana play GTA5 and i need 8gb to play it says,... so if i use a 8gb usb flash drive---it will work the same?!??!?

shelli you can use a flash drive but, you'll need a 16gb flashdrive at least. I have a Xbox 360 slim the 4gb version. the 8gb won't be enough because you'll to go to your settings system settings then storage go over the flash drive and configure it. after that the 8gb will only allow up to 7.4 gbs of space so the lowest you can go is 16gb. thatll work and you'll spend maybe $15 if that. or you can buy a white Xbox external hard drive but, that one is WAY more complicated. so here's a sum get a 16gb flashdrive plug it into your USB port go to settings, system settings, storage, there will be a thing called USB STORAGE DEVICE hover over that and hit Y .then it will say configure you wanna hit yes and let it do that once it's done you'll have the space for gta v if you need help just message my gamertag I'll walk you threw it x GREM CREW x good luck
