The listing, VINTAGE 2 PIECE PENDANT MIZPAH COIN 14KT GOLD FILLED NECKLACE has ended.

This is a MIZPAH COIN pendant necklace. The inscription on this is: The Lord watch between me and thee, while we are absent one from another. This is a scripture from the Bible Genesis 31:49. This is two pendants made from one. It is cut in half so you can give half of it to the one you love. The coin is about the size of a quarter. There is only one chain, so, if you give one half of the coin away you will have to get another chain. The coin, both halves, are stamped on the back 14KT G.F.R. Not sure what the R stands for, but, the G F is for gold filled. The 18 inch chain's spring ring clasp is stamped 1/20th 14K GF. All the pieces of this pendant are in good vintage condition.

I don't know the meaning of the actual word, I just know you're supposed to share the coin with someone else. I am assuming it to be someone you love.

It's hard to tell in the picture, is the chain dulled yet, which is common with age? Or is it still fairly brilliant, as the coin appears to be? ThankU :)

The chain is darkened some from age. The coin isn't nearly as bright as the first picture shows it to be. The flash from the camera did that. The other pictures are a little closer to what both chain and coin pendants actually look like, though, not perfect because the coin pendants aren't unevenly colored as two of the other pictures show. These are vintage so they won't look like new. Hope this helps.
