Ok folks, up for bids is (1) Baofeng UV5RA(+) Dual Band (UHF/VHF) Transceiver (Ham/Amateur Radio). This is a great little 1 owner (Me) Handy Talkie that has gave me some great service, I've taken great care of this HT since day one and it is in excellent condition now, I properly broke the battery in when I first received it so it will give you about 3 full days of light use.

This HT will be good for a Amateur/HAM radio operator or Police/Fire/EMS. I'll even program your local Amateur Radio repeaters into the radio for you if you like.

This radio will have 2 great antenna included along with the stock antenna, the larger antenna (Nagoya NA773) has give me 65 mile range to my local repeater at times :)

I have a good bit of $$$ invested into this little package and I'm sure you will enjoy.

The Baofeng UV-5RA is a compact F.C.C. Part 90 hand held transceiver providing 4 watts in the frequency range of 136-174 MHz and 400-480 MHz. It is a compact, economical HT that includes a special VHF receive band from 65-108 MHz which includes the regular FM broadcast band. Dual watch and dual reception is supported. You get up to 128 memories. Other features include: selectable wide/narrow, battery save function, VOX, DCS/CTCSS encode, key lock and built in flashlight. Selectable frequency steps include: 2.5, 5, 6.25, 10, 12.5 and 25 kHz. RF power may be selected at 4 or 1 watts.

This radio comes with SMA-J flexible antenna, Li-ion battery (7.4V 1800 mAh), belt clip, wrist strap, AC adapter (8.4V 600ma) and drop-in charging tray. The UV-5RA is similar to the UV-5R, but has a more rounded chassis, different firmware, requires different programming software and does not accept the BL5L battery.

This radio requires purchase of the USB-02 programming cable and downloading of software prior to use. These radios are certified under FCC part 90 and operate differently from traditional amateur equipment. FCC Part 90 radios do not operate natively in the VFO mode and are not as frequency agile and are best suited when frequencies are programmed into memory and operated in a channelized mode.

What I have listed for GIN is what I will take, there is plenty of time left on the auction to get up some credits to bid on it, Sorry but that's the way auctions work, I love this little radio, the only reason I'm getting rid of it is because I have multiple radios and I need to get rid of this one so I will have as many credits as I can to get something I need real badly too :)
