Wow, Im surprised that this is auction is still under 800 credits. Since this is a newer unit from 2008 it should be a fairly easy fix. Just take it apart, remove the heat syncs and fan and bake it till it overheats...then put some new thermal paste on there and do a quick X-clamp fix and you're good to do. This thing could run for years with just a couple fairly simple fixes.

The warranty seal is located under the faceplate of the xbox 360 (the face plates pop off so you can change them). If there is no seal present on the xbox when you remove the faceplate then it has been opened by a third party.

If you bought the system new and the system just red ringed on you, and no one opened it to try to fix it, then the warranty seal should still be intact.

I just ask because there are so many of these units around, and the vast majority of the units I have come across that are 2+ years old have always been opened for a red ring repair. Its not a big deal, but it would be nice to know before bidding.
