The listing, Crucifix Necklace has ended.

Vintage crucifix necklace found in a second hand shop in a retirement village near my town. The chain is marked GERMANY. The Crucifix isn't marked at all but it looked very old and tarnished so I dipped it in my silver cleaner and to my surprise it came out looking new. I was going to toss it as hopeless. Decided it was worth a try putting it in the cleaner. Glad I did. The more I keep looking at this piece the more I think the crucifix and chain did not originally go together. Maybe it did but it doesn't match in tone. The crucifix is beautiful now shiny silver look. The chain isn't quite gold and isn't quite silver. It isn't marked except for GERMANY. 18" chain. 2" crucifix. I would probably put the crucifix on a different chain if I kept it. I didn't want to change it for Listia. Just thought I would leave it the way I found it.

I hope I win this cross I'm bidding on trying to get it for my mom she I'll in hospital my dad got her one before he passed but someone stole it n it was the only thing she had from him n I'm trying to replace it this cross looks just like the one he got her

Thanks yea I lost the auction I have no more credits to keep bidding n I got nothing. Flour up for auction to earn credits to keep bidding n not enough time to earn credits cause it takes time before I get more I tried can you really get another one just like that one

I cant say it would be exactly like that one but I have gotten several at that little second hand shop. They are truley a little treasure shop. Only open for 2 hours on Thursdays. They are closed this thursday but we go every thursday . There are alot of Catholic people in that little retirement village. I think that is why there always seems to be a crucifix there. I will keep my eyes peeled. I mean it when I say I will send it to you if I find one. It would make me happy.
