Description

The listing, Vintage Eagle Necklace from Northern Arizona Shell/Mother of Pearl has ended.

This lovely eagle is made of shell or mother of pearl, I'm not sure which, but it is very shiny and picks up the light beautifully. Very vintage, I believe it is authentic, since the style is very much typical, but I am no expert; that was my mother's domain. The eagle is nearly 2" across and the necklace itself is approximately 17" in circumference. The beads that accent the piece are in hues of coffee, gray, sand and chocolate. It has a barrel closing.

My mother used to frequent trading posts and flea markets many decades ago, in her hunt for Native American and other treasures, jewelry and curiosities. I'm continuing to clean out boxes from my garage, whenever I get the energy, and finding some lovely things. I'm not sure exactly where she picked this one up but it had to have been in northern Arizona.

Shipping is free through first class mail, securely wrapped and sent in a Tyvek mailer, to any part of the U.S. I ship the next day after receiving address unless a weekend or holiday and will upload the tracking number so you'll know when to expect your package. Listia rules apply for verified address. Thank you for viewing my listing.

Thank you; will fan back. And to answer your question, I don't often do gins anymore since Listia charges so much for them. Most buyers don't want something that has a huge gin, and I'd rather not appear as if I'm charging too much just to make up the Listia fee. That's why I almost always start with 0 bid, no gin, no matter what it is, and just let it go for whatever. I once let a $20 item go for five credits with free shipping, lol. That was insane, but it was the only time it happened. Every other time, I was satisfied with the end results and the buyer got good value as well. But thanks for asking!

And thank you, Kitty, for explaining things. That info is so helpful to new bidders. :)
