This necklace is made of polished stones in varying shades of electric pink, soft pink and soft white, accented by metal beads. It has a barrel clasp and is very vintage. The stones encompass about 9.5 inches across, while the whole necklace is 18" long. The largest stone is nearly an inch in length. The gems are stunning; if it were me, I'd make other jewelry with them, but my mother liked the necklace just as it is. To each his own; it is very wearable and unusual.

I don't know if this is either rhodonite or rhodochrosite. Both are found in the Bradshaw Mountain mine here in Arizona, so it is possible, but I don't know enough about minerals to be certain. I know nothing about the necklace except that it was purchased many decades ago in Arizona; I found it among my mother's things and since I am the oldest left alive, there's no one to ask. Please look at the picture; the stones are very, very vibrant and bright. They are bright pink with some pearly white. You might know better than I what they are for certain.

Some people say that rhodonite has "calming" properties. I'm not sure this would be a calm color, lol, but that's what people who believe in crystal therapy say. You can google it to see for yourself.
