It does have a script written phyllis. Then it has I/20-12k gf. So it's 12 karat gold filled. There's a small amount tarnish and the sharp pin part that secures it has a slight bend but not enough to affect its use. I actually didn't notice that until I was examining it for the signature. Hope this helps.
