This auction is for a brand new bookmark themed on H.P. Lovecraft, a horror/fantasy/science fiction author. Most of his work was published in the pulp magazine Weird Tales in the 1920s and 1930s.
The bookmark measures 2 inches wide by 6 inches high and is printed in full color with UV spot gloss on heavy 15pt card stock. This bookmark features a quotation from Lovecraft's short story "The Call of Cthulhu," in addition to original artwork of the Great Old One himself.
The quotation reads:
"The most merciful thing in the world, I think, is the inability of the human mind to correlate all its contents. We live on a placid island of ignorance in the midst of black seas of infinity, and it was not meant that we should voyage far." --H.P. Lovecraft
