You get all five thimbles in this auction. There are three bone china and two goldtone metal thimbles. I couldn't get good photos of the markings inside. These were the best my camera would do, so, I will give as good a description as I can.

1. The first thimble has the famous peeing boy "Mannekin Pis", of Brussel Belgium, with the words Brussel and Bruxettes and three different buildings. I presume these are famous Belgium places. The inside has a crown and Fine Bone China marked on it.

2. The brownish pottery looking one, which I think is also bone china, only a different color, has a different lady on each side, one in a hat and one not. There is a teeny tiny dark spot on the side of the lady with the hat, at the bottom edge. I thought this was a chip, but, after looking with my magnifying glass, it's not. The spot is under the glaze. Marked inside with a shield and crown and says Staffordshire England.

3. The third china thimble has a building on it and says The Tower Of London. Only one side of this thimble has a design. Inside is marked Jean Manson Made In England Fine Bone China.

4. The first goldtone metal thimble is a Christmas thimble, it has a partridge sitting on a tree limb (Partridge In A Pear Tree). On the back side is stamped VERNON. This came from Lillian Vernon.

5. The second goldtone metal thimble has a Christmas bell plaque attached with a picture of a church and has the date 1981. No other markings on this one, but, I did find out this came from Lillian Vernon like the other metal thimble.

All are in excellent vintage condition. I believe all of these are dated around the same time, from the 80's, but, not sure because I got them second hand, all from the same person.
