This is a camera I purchased a couple of years ago to use for listing items on eBay. It has worked fairly well, but is better for outdoor use and not indoor pictures of jewelry. I recently got a newer camera and so I'm listing this one.

I really don't know, since I'm not technical. I needed one for close up pictures of hard to photograph jewelry items. Some turned out great, but others didn't. I got one with about 5MP that has a super closeup mode and it works. For most items, it is fine. Jewelry is just a pain to photograph.

that's what it says, but they interpolate it some way it says, not a true 12mp

Instead of the 32MB memory card I am making it a 1 GB card so you won't have to buy one. Holds lots of pictures on it.

About the tungsten, etc asked earlier, no I have not tried that. For jewelry items that are bright colored and vivid, it made great pics, but for colorless or light colored jewelry, which I did a lot of, it did not do as well as I wanted. I am not camera savvy and don't have the time to play with each pic

I'm not sure if I understand "better for outdoor use." Does the flash not work? Have you played with the exposure to accomodate the variences in light, or not? The specs indicate that you can adjust the White balance. Did you try Tungston or Cloudy for indoors?

I am not real camera savy. Making close ups of jewelry doesn't work well with flash on any camera, though. I have tried the flash and different light combinations, but this is not one for getting the best details for close ups
