Yes, it can as long as the temperature is between 248-356 degrees F. Anything over 356 degrees F will damage the hair.

Yes, you can. I always trim my extensions to help them blend and look more natural. These are brand new.

not really, Its a red wine red. not bright at all. When the light hits it it still looks like a wine red / burgundy color

honestly, I don't know. I never personally tried to dye them with regular hair dye. I did an ombre effect using kool aid on a lighter brown synthetic extensions and it turned out good.
